A case of COVID-19 associated lower extremity ischemia

Although the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) wasinitiallydefined as a respiratorytractinfection, thedisease can present in manydifferentpresentations. Thedisease can causeverydifferentpresentations, fromasymptomaticinfectiontorespiratorysymptomsthatrequireintubation, ordifferent organ involvementfindings. It is thoughtthattheinflammatoryprocessdeveloping in thecourse of COVID-19 maycausearterialandvenouscomplications. Althougharterialcomplicationsarereportedslightlylessthanvenouscomplications, as thenumber of COVID-19 infectedpatientsworldwideincreases, literatureinformation on caseswitharterialcomplications has beguntodevelop. Inthiscasereport, weaimedtocontributetotheliterature on a 66-year-old patientwithknowndiabetesmellituswhodevelopedlowerextremityischemiadespite his asymptomatic COVID-19 infection.
